Just when wandering the streets of downtown Austin start to feel familiar to you something new and different springs up to make going out interesting all over again. Well, get ready for the enticing pull of a grand opening celebration with your name on it, at a bar you’ll be frequenting for years to come.
Well technically it has Dogwood’s name on it but they want you there. What used to be Mother Egan’s has had a substantial amount of work done and was re-opened by Jason Carrier and the Womack’s (Brad, Chad, and Wes) as Dogwood back in July. For their opening on August 25th they are not holding back and have teamed up with an pretty impressive list of sponsor’s who are helping them throw you one special evening of fun. Of note is Austin’s newest liquor on the scene, Deep Eddy Vodka. Get there early (specifically be one of the first 250 to show up) and you’ll receive one of Dogwood’s classic mason jars filled with a Dogwood t-shirt and a “coupon” for a free Deep Eddy drink when you bring the mason jar back to the bar. Not a bad deal if we’ve ever heard one.
Starting at 4 pm on August 25th, Dogwood is kicking off the evening and at 6 pm the complimentary appetizers will begin meandering through what will definitely already be a packed house. Oh, and there are tons of drink specials until 10pm. Whether you’ve been to Dogwood yet, or still need to check out the new hot-spot, make sure you find your way to their Grand Opening next Wednesday to celebrate what we’re guessing will be one of your new favorite hang outs.
