Wanting to go green? I say, “Go yellow!”
On THURSDAY AUGUST 26 let the evening Austin air rustle through your hair as you join the weekly Thursday Social Ride through Austin with local cyclists. Don’t be bashful if you aren’t a cyclist, with their intimidating calves and thighs. This ride is an easy way to socialize with other cyclists and simply enjoy the company while cruising downtown and dodging the perilous Austin traffic on your way to the Yellow Bike Benefit Show at Red7.
The Yellow Bike Benefit Show @ Red 7 begins around @ 8:30. The featured bands include: The Sour Notes, The Boxing Lesson, White Rhino, She Sir, and Searching For Signal! Make sure you RSVP here for a chance to win free entry to the show! Otherwise, the show is a measly $7 at the door with part of the proceeds going to the Yellow Bike Project. Also, the first 100 people in the door get a free drink provided by Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop!
For the ride: They will meet by the river (north side) under the I-35 Bridge just east of the highway in a really nice spot with trees, tables and plenty of space to chill out. We meet at 7:30 and take off and ride our BIKES at 8 sharpish. They leave on time so don’t be late… or at least too late.
