Lookin' Good Hot Wheels: Vote For Your Favorite Bike in Austin!

If you’ve ever lived in a city that doesn’t have as extensive of a biking population as Austin does, chances are the heart palpitations you experienced as they whizzed through traffic on Lamar were worse than the time you drank 15 cups of coffee in a ten minute time period and then did a handstand. Eventually, the nerves subside and it seems that not only are most people comfortable with the bicyclists but at some point opt in for two wheeling themselves around at some point.

Welcome home. The chance to show your appreciation for a portion of Austin’s characteristic culture is coming up. The Electric Culture Vol. 3: The Art Bike Expo is coming up on September 2 and they need you to help them out with two tasks.

1. Bikers: your job is to hop on your sweet ride, strike your most adorable pose and send a picture of your two wheeled baby in. (Or 4 if you’re using training wheels…no judging here.)

2. Non-bikers/camera shy bikers: your job is to get clicking and vote for the top 25 bikes who will be asked to take part in the expo itself. Here’s the rules fools.

Contest Rules:

1. All submissions must be sent to Rachel@Do512.com. We need to get your name and a phone number/email where you can be contacted which will be used solely to contact winners.

2. Once your submission has been made friends can be invited to vote.

3. Voting closes at 10pm on the 28th for the first round which will determine the top 25. That’s coming up super soon.

4. The top 25 will be anounced on Do512 on the 29th and voting for the top 10 will begin.

We’re “pumped” (like..tires hehehe.) Make sure to send those picture submissions in ASAP to Kelly@do512.com.
