“Every time one of them got married, a little piece of me died,” Rachel of Do512 said. I feel this is a sentiment that resonates with us all; no female can resist Isaac’s melodic voice, Zac’s wild-man percussion performances, or Taylor’s bad boy stage presence.
So maybe we can’t marry a Hanson (*tear*) but we can go see them at Antone’s on Tuesday, November 2nd. You can bet your mint condition Tiger Beat collection that the Do512 ladies will be there, swooning, holding signs propositioning that any one of them consider polygamy and welcome us into their happy marriages. We kid. The point is in a generation of boy bands Hanson stood out as a group of small town guys with genuine talent and the ability to make thousands of grown women cry before they had even hit 18. That at the very least is worthy of respect.
Many people tend to forget the fact that this is one of the only bands to emerge from the 1990s boy band pop craze who continue to have a lasting presence in the music industry. Did you know they’ve been nominated for a Grammy three times? Nowadays, aside from personal projects including solo acts and Taylor’s collaboration with members of Smashing Pumpkins and Cheap Trick, Hanson is currently on tour promoting their latest album Shout It Out.
Assuming that the boys don’t see this blog post causing them to file a restraining order against us, we’ll see you there with smiles on and maybe tears. You were warned.

Why on earth is there turntable scratching in that song?
