The fact of the matter is, nearly all of us are addicted to Facebook. We update, upload, tag, post, like, comment, share, and stalk. The world has changed, and social media is incorporated into every avenue of our lives from professional to romantic to simply entertaining our sheer boredom. Unfortunately, this hilarious site is under some scrutiny (lawsuit) by a certain multi billion dollar company claiming trademark infringement. However, Lamebook and its supporters aren’t feeling this whole imposition of their First Amendment rights. So to help pay of these lawyer bills and ensure that this site gets to keep on keepin on, they’re throwing a huge fundraiser party Fight for Your Right to Parody! Come on out to Shangri La this Friday, January 21st, at 7 pm and enjoy free beer and fun. DJ duo Learning Secrets and the all-singing, all-dancing one-man party, Neiliyo, will be taking care of the musical entertainment while members of the New Movement Theatre will do a live reading of some of the funniest and lamest selections from Lamebook.com. Pig Vicious will be providing some tasty treats and photographer Annie Ray will be clicking away to capture the evening. All these guys are asking for is a $5 dollar donation!
