Everyone has their own opinions on how to ensure a bright future, some more right than others. And some, like myself, are rarely wrong. Something everyone can agree on is providing quality education for our next generation of leaders. Yes, kids. Even if you don’t have them, or even like them, you can’t deny that they will be taking over the world one day. And we don’t want a generation of lazy idiots who depend on their iPad 3000s (future iPads) instead of thinking for themselves. The Austin Children’s Museum does their best to keep that from happening by providing interactive and educational programs for kids and their families every week and throughout the year. They are an important part of our community, offering camps and programs featuring fun and hands-on activities like Science Sundays, Engineering Saturday, story time, sing-alongs, arts and crafts, and sleepovers. They do all this fantastic stuff for the kids of Austin so we don’t have to.
But we can still help: Saturday, February 19, The Austin Children’s Museum and Charity Bash is throwing a Masquerade Ball for us grown-ups to get down and give back. Charity Bash is all about inspiring young professionals to be more philanthropic, hoping for financial giving to become a habit. Austin is currently ranked 48th of the nation’s 50 largest cities in financial giving. We can do better by doing what we do best, partying for a purpose.
In the spirit of giving and charity and all, Do512 has teamed up with Charity Bash to offer 50 promo codes that will take $20 off your ticket price! Meaning 50 lucky people who click “I like it” on our events page will be entered for a chance to win. Grab a tux and gown for this black tie affair and get your tickets here.
