Piranha Killer Sushi Presents an Unplugged Acoustic Showcase Benefitting HAAM

One time in college I ate sushi at 3 am right before an economics final and felt it swimming upstream for the rest of the evening. Talk about killer sushi. Luckily for you, the type of sushi we currently speak of is on the other side of killer meaning purely awesome. If you’ve ever been to Piranha before, it’s no secret that the atmosphere is always friendly and the food is nothing short of delicious. You say sushi? We say we’ll be there and that’s not a secret. What also isn’t a secret is that the town is about to be all in a bustle and the foot traffic downtown around 12 pm is going to be considerably larger than usual. If your feet find themselves near our dear Piranha, we encourage you to go inside and check out their Unplugged Acoustic Showcase Benefiting HAAM (Health Alliance for Austin Musicians.) The show includes music from Southbound Drive, Aqua Jones Acoustic, Jomo Edwards and Tom Melancon.

Piranha will be offering full menus during the event for their patrons with all of their scrumptious sushi succulents, and will be making the generous donation to HAAM themselves.

Living in a city that is open enough to even embrace an idea such as SXSW much less execute it relentlessly every year is a homage to how strongly supported up and coming musicians are here. While plane tickets are selling out so that international bands can come show their skills, benefits and donations to organizations such as HAAM are what allow Austin to embrace their local musicians year round and ultimately garner us the title “The Live Music Capital of the World.”
