Devon Allman’s Honeytribe is more than ready to take the stage tomorrow night at Antone’s to give Austin a taste of some heavy blues rock. Let’s just establish right now that Devon and the Honeytribe have been around the block averaging 300 shows per year. These guys are known to kick butt and to put on an unforgettable shows. The band was formed in St. Louis by front man Devon Allman in 1999. In 2005 their album “Torch” was all the rage and won critical acclaim. The trio also consists of bassist George Potsos and drummer Gabriel Strange. These three musicians have some great chemistry, mad skills, and their show will reflect their 13 years of hard work.
Other bands playing are The Swingin’ Johnsons whose first gig was also in the 90′s. Who wouldn’t enjoy their song “Everything’s Bigger in Texas”? I can definitely relate to that. Michael Holt and Trophy 500′s, right from here in Austin Texas, will also take the stage and have become a must see Austin band. Antone’s is going to be packed with the blues and you don’t want to miss this solid lineup!
