The Austin-based music blog Covert Curiosity has combined forces with Austin Music Weekly and Ender Productions to host a free music showcase featuring a dozen local acts. The event will take place on Monday, March 12, 2012 at Hotel Vegas (1500 E. 6th Street) in Austin, TX. A wide variety of Austin artists are scheduled to perform, including the foot-stomping folk band Whiskey Shivers, emerging indie rock act TV Torso, Americana power trio Leatherbag, the female-fronted dynamic duo White Dress, psychedelic rock band Holy Wave, and many more.As a wild card, the presenters are also bringing in Guadalupe Plata, a dirty blues trio all the way from Ubeda, Spain, whose set will also feature a burlesque show from Carousel Cabaret.
All attendees of SXSW are invited to come and experience this diverse sampling of Austin music. Entry to the event is free with RSVP. Complimentary food and drinks will be served in the afternoon. Doors will open at 1 PM. The details are as follows:
