My friend Jared makes some sweet virtual money on Ebay from selling leather wallets and other accessories that he physically brands with his custom logo. However, he probably never imagined the day he could use his Paypal account outside of the online world for transactions unrelated to his business. Jared, along with many other Ebay addicts, will be pleased to hear of the recent partnership between Tabbedout and Paypal. Jared will now have ability to use the money he earns instantly at restaurants and bars supporting the Tabbedout app to pay for his tab and never worry about handing over a physical card again. Or, if he wants, he can associate a credit card to his PayPal account use it as the funding source for his fun outings.
For the first time ever Paypal has ventured into bars and restaurants via the Tabbedout app, and we are the spoiled Austinites who get to experience it firsthand before the feature rolls out to the rest of Tabbedout’s locations across the United States. This feature is added just in time for SXSW and will not only be another option when deciding what method of payment to use, but there will also be $10 offers to snatch up at all locations accepting Paypal. In addition, if you decide to pay with Paypal at places, such as Shangri-la and Polvo’s, you will automatically receive a $15 offer towards your next tab. It is easy to check if a venue supports Paypal because it will be listed under the location’s accepted payment methods on the app, and don’t fret if it isn’t available at your favorite bar just yet because it will expand to include many more locations in the near future.
Don’t break the bank next week when there are more ways to save using Tabbedout! Brace yourselves for Austin’s most chaotic week and check out the video below to see why “everyone loves a good partnership.”
PayPal is available in the Tabbedout app in these Austin locations now, with more locations and cities coming soon!
