Matisyahu released a CD of his live performance at Stubbs in 2005, which helped his reputation take off.  Matisyahu is returning back to Austin for another performance at Stubbs on September 4th. Except this time, The Dirty Heads, will be joining Matisyahu on stage.

The Dirty Heads, who are now on a tour with Matisyahu, have certainly come a long way from their humble beginning. The band started when school friends Jared “Dirty J” Watson and Dustin “Duddy B” Bushnell developed their music career after messing around one afternoon with their music abilities, and discovered their talent could lead to something more. The group was later rounded out by adding percussionist Jon Olazabal, drummer Matt Ochoa, and bassist David Foral. Adding new members to the band eventually changed the band’s previous rap sounds to a sounds featuring more of a reggae beat.
