Well, it’s Thursday again. That day of the week where the weekend is so close you can taste it, but you still have one more day at the office. It’s that kind of feeling that just makes you want to get your funk on. If that’s your problem, you’re welcome, because we found your solution. This Austin band has been around for a few years now, and in that time they’ve quickly become one of our favorite bands. Combining jazz, funk, soul, R&B, and hip/hop, they are one of the best bands around to groove out to. They’ve been busy this year too, releasing EP’s and playing shows with The Flaming Lips and whatnot. Luckily, Hotel Vegas has brought them home to play a show next Thursday, 9/20 as part of their “In The Room” series. We’ve been fans of these guys for a long time, even having them play one of our lounge sessions, but now’s as good a time as ever to discover these local greats.
