ACL Aftershow with Allen Stone, Tingsek, and Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds

That magical weekend we Austinites long for all year long is just around the corner.  Maybe it’s OU vs Texas for some, SXSW for others, but I’m talking ACL, folks!  3 days of nonstop music, local eateries converging, an influx of tourists, and after shows!  If you’ve checked out the lineup, you’re well aware that absorbing everything might be somewhat impossible.  C3 Presents has cooked up a nice little dessert menu, featuring smaller venues, longer sets, and more of your favorite artists!  Opening night, you can find Allen Stone, Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds, and Tingsek sharing the intimate, legendary Antone’s stage.

With comparisons to ACL veterans Fitz and the Tantrums, Allen Stone is bringing the soul.  The small town Washington native began his career in his father’s church.  His sweet, soulful voice takes refuge behind his long curly hair and thick-rimmed glasses. Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds are a perfect compliment to Stone’s style.  With pipes that could clean out all of Austin and an army of horns backing the insatiable voice, Arleigh Kincheloe leads the 9 piece ensemble.  With musician parents, Arleigh and brother Jackson ventured to the big city of New York to pursue a dream.  Sheer talent and sultry vocals have positioned the funky group for great success.

Tingsek, who’s first name is Magnum developed his passionate singing style from years of harmonizing with brother, Anders.  Magnum began with drums, adding guitar, bass, piano and pedal steel to his list of talents.  The Swedish singer hones in on his vast abilities with a blend of progressive soul, r&b, and pop.

Music buddies Tingsek and Allen Stone

Three bands, all with a copious amount of soul, vocals that are destined for big accolades, and a passion for live performance are the perfect additions to your Austin City Limits experience.  With tickets already sold out, the after show provides an additional chance to partake in the festivities.  Antone’s kicks off at 10 pm, giving you a chance to catch the Black Keys’ ACL set, if so inclined.  Grab your tickets now, as this will surely (in ACL fashion) sell out.
