Mos Def aka Dante Terell Smith aka Yasiin Bey is known for much more than pulling the name change switch-a-roo ever so often. He’s had roles in major blockbusters including “Left Ear” in The Italian Job. Who could forget how explosive that was? (See what I did there?) He’s also been in hit TV shows like House M.D., Dexter, Chappelle’s Show, and one for the kiddos, Yo Gabba Gabba. But the talent doesn’t start and end just in film and television for Yasiin Bey.  He’s an accomplished MC too. Oh hell yeah!

You’ve probably heard some of his hits like “Respiration”, “Sex, Love and Money”, and “Definition”. In fact, he’s received critical acclaim for his work, and he has lent his talents to musical groups including Urban Thermo Dynamics and Black Star. And Bey has had a strong stance in politics and current social issues. He’s even expressed his views on social matters through his music. Now that’s the definition of a true artist.

So by now you’re probably thinking “Wow, this guy is pretty awesome, and I want to hang out with him.” Well, you can. Yes, you just read that right! In fact, you can downright party with Yasiin. Proper Entertainment will be presenting him at Emo’s on Tuesday, October 30th. Come out and celebrate big with the man who’s become a staple in good, ole U.S.A pop culture through his accomplished screen work, successful music career, and his notable efforts to bring awarness to political issues. Special guests DJ Chicken George, Bavu Blakes, R.A.S, and Crew 54 will be there as well to help get the party poppin’.

The fun starts at 9:30 pm so don’t miss out. Talk about a steal- with GA tickets normally ranging $35-$45, Emo’s is hooking you up with a $23 ticket.  Word to yo motha.
