Thomas Dolby & Knifight @ The Parish TONIGHT!

Hello, it’s your past calling.

Step into my time machine (The Parish).  We will be transported to a decade where side ponytails and music videos were totally awesome.  Thomas Dolby may not ring a bell, but this might:

While his whole “mad scientist” kitsch may not have gone over so well, Dolby is back with a vengeance, and we could all use a little madness in our hump day.  Let’s face it, the use of synthesizers and samples probably did seem a little cray back in “those days.”  Like all mad scientists, this proves that Thomas Dolby was just ahead of his time.  With the surge in technology and vast computer enhancements and the 80′s revival, Dolby joins the ranks of other popular electro-indie-pop acts.  Don’t worry, this may all sound like sugary pop fun overload, reminiscent of a cheesy childhood, but Knifight will balance it out with their darkwave electronic tunes.  They’ve promised the “best hump day of your lives,” so pack a lunch and get your tickets.  And for all you cool kids, Thomas Dolby wants to meet you.  Get your backstage Bettys to the Parish pronto.

The time machine departs at 9pm.  Outfit yourself in your best neon spandex and get onboard.  We have a pair of free tickets for one of you lucky Wednesday warriors.  Bodacious times in store.
