Didn’t you ever stop to wonder, what really did make Milwaukee famous? Well we don’t know either. But we know one thing for sure, this Austin born band, What Made Milwaukee Famous, has a whole lot of something special and will charm the pants off you when they step on stage. Antone’s will be hosting this crew of talent as they celebrate the release of their latest album, You Can’t Fall Off the Floor, on Saturday, January 26th. If their first single is any indication of things to come with these new tunes, you’re in for a real treat.
With a decade of performing, creating, and crowd-pleasing under their belt, this album comes after a five year hiatus from releasing new material. Festival experience from Sasquach to ACL and the only unsigned artists to perform on ACL Live (when they took the stage along with Franz Ferdinand), this band is no novice to the game. Old and new fans alike will be pleased as they experience this album full of that same good old feeling that they tend to induce, peppered with a special touch of something new. Get ready to feel your feet start to shuffle, your hips begin to sway, and let your hair down as WMMF floats tunes seamlessly into your soul.
Special guests, The Preservation and The Heavenly States will set the evening off right leading up to WMMF’s record debut. Tickets are cheap, drinks will be flowing, and good times are awaiting your arrival. WMMF promises a good time and will once again make Austin proud as they begin a new tour, with new music, and the same flare for being great.
