Band of Skulls with Black Pistol Fire at La Zona Rosa on Oct. 11

via bandofskulls.com

Man, Band of Skulls have been freaking busy. They opened up for the Red Hot Chili Peppers on Tuesday in Dallas — and between then and next Thursday when they play at La Zona Rosa, they’re making stops in New Orleans, Jasonville, Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, St. Petersberg and Athens.

Geez! Well, I guess it does make sense to play the new stuff from Sweet Sour anywhere and everywhere–it’s soooo good! It’s melt-on-the-dance-floor good. And you know that they know what I mean since the videos of their two singles from the album center on dancing. Which, by the way — have you guys seen these videos? Both “Sweet Sour” and “You’re Not Pretty But You Got It Goin’ On” know what’s up. Whether it’s a group of kids showing their “hardness” by being a good dancer, or a bunch of prisoners dancing themselves free, Band of Skulls knows the power of dancing, so it’s awesome that they give us fiends something to shake it too.

They won’t be the only ones dragging feet to the dance floor at this show though. Those Canadians in Black Pistol Fire are gonna bring it too. If you don’t believe me, check it for yourself. I normally need a drink or two before I’m comfortable dancing like a maniac in front of people, but as I’m sitting here writing this, I can’t help but move around in my swivel chair in the office. (AND WHAT?)

This is an official ACL Music Festival Late Night Show, so you can get your tickets right here. All you need are tickets and dancing shoes. Go!
