Quiet Company w/ Boy + Kite this Saturday @ Hotel Vegas

Oh, the irony in the name Quiet Company.  This band is a far cry from being quiet, with over 50,000 plays per day on Grooveshark.  Frontman Taylor Muse pieced the band together via craigslist ads, band breakups, and a little bit of luck.  The Austin-based rock band is dripping in accolades.  The band became the first to be signed to Grooveshark‘s Artist Development Program, garnering global attention.  In the social media world, jumping from 2,800 Facebook friends to over 50,000 in a matter of months makes you somewhat of a Rock God, no matter who you are.  After playing 9 shows during SXSW, they swept the Austin Music Awards, taking home 10 awards, including Band of the Year! They will be making a well deserved appearance at the 2012 Austin City Limits Music Festival.

If you are wanting to experience the aforementioned awesomeness before then, you’ll have to catch them this Saturday at Hotel Vegas.  The “In the Room Series” will feature a “One time only” 3 set show, featuring tracks from their three consecutive albums.  They will be pulling out the oldies-but-goodies and may even mix in a couple that have yet to grace the stage.  This is a great opportunity for virgin and super fans alike to experience a once-in-a-lifetime show.

Special guests Boy + Kite will be opening up the magical night.  Not every band can say that they are from “The Live Music Capitol of the World” or that they formed in a hot tub.  The honest, dynamic energy of their debut album, Go Fly, will transcend  into their live performance.

There are only 150 tickets available and Do512 will be giving away 1 pair to some lucky son of a gun.  Early bird gets the worm, or in this case, gets to attend the must-see show of the summer.
