CharityBash Sunday Funday in Benefit of MS Society, April 1st @ Javelina

Weekends here in Austin tend to be beautiful, and what could be more fulfilling than spending a beautiful spring Sunday at Javelina in support of a great cause? April 1st is CharityBash Sunday Funday, an awesome event put on by Citizen Generation in support of the MS Society and Bailey’s Bikers Fund.

Bailey’s Bikers was formed when the member who’s now Team Captain was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, a serious neurological disease. Members of the team organized the MS 150 bike ride to raise funds for MS research, in hopes of furthering studies to find a cure.

The $10 charge to get through the door at Javelina for Sunday Funday will benefit the MS Society in their efforts to help find a cure for MS, and will also gain you access to free goodies. The festivities span from noon to 6:00pm, and will feature a full brunch menu, drink specials, the Austin Fit April release and tons of awesome people!

This Citizen Generation event is a perfect paradigm of the organization’s mission statement: To “create the habit of of giving through philanthropic experiences and community programs.” Sunday Funday is a great chance to get involved with the community and support the work that all the participating organizations do to raise awareness about issues and diseases that directly affect human welfare.

Take a break from your April Fools pranks and come out to Javelina April 1st at noon to mix and mingle at Sunday Funday with people who love to help other people. Grab some brunch, enjoy the drinks, and feel good that your ten dollars went to a cause that is advancing research and helping people all over.

2nd Annual CharityBash Masquerade Ball Benefiting Capital Area Food Bank @ The Texas Federation of Women’s Club Mansion 2/18

We know the weather recently here in Austin hasn’t necessarily screamed winter, but what better way to get back into the spirit of the season than to attend a winter wonderland themed event. Bummed about not being able to hit New Orleans up for Mardi Gras? Well, you could always celebrate it here by going to a masquerade ball. But where ever can you find such festivities? Don’t fret — Citizen Generation is hosting their 2nd annual CharityBash this weekend and it is not only winter wonderland themed, but it is a masquerade ball as well!

The best part about the event is that all the proceeds will benefit the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas. With their mission “to nourish hungry people and lead the community in ending hunger,” the charity supplies food and grocery products to over 300 partner agencies all around Texas in order to feed those in need. So if you are searching for a way to give back to your community and have fun at the same time, this bash will be perfect for you.

Awesome food and entertainment will be provided throughout the night as well as an open bar. And who can say no to an open bar? Tickets are $100 and as they are no longer available for purchase online, you can buy them at the door on the night of the event or click “I like it” here for a chance to win one of two pairs of free tickets. So join us this Saturday, February 18, at The Texas Federation of Women’s Club Mansion for a night of dancing, socializing, and celebrating a great cause. Don’t be late — event starts at 8.
