Bowling for Soup’s name is derived from comedian Steve Martin’s “Bowling for Sh*t” routine from his 1978 comedy album Wild and Crazy Guy. The band is perhaps best known for their single “Girl All the Bad Guys Want” which was nominated for a 2003 Grammy Award for “Best Pop Performance by a Group or Duo”. BFS is currently touring behind their 2011 album Fishin for Woos, which has been described as containing songs that are upbeat, uplifting, and cause listeners to spontaneously tap their feet.
