Jam Packed Week at the Parish Underground, Beale Street Tavern

This week is a fairly busy one for the staff of the Parish Underground’s Beale Street Tavern with the back to back shows they have scheduled for this week.  It all starts tonight with perfomances by Friendly Savages, Mike Burns, Fox Royal, & Tides.  You only have a couple seconds to prepare yourself for music by the Friendly Savages who successfully blend the sounds of the mandolin, violin, banjo, guitar, and piano.  Why? Because ALL THIS IS TONIGHT. All ages welcome, Doors open at 7pm, and tickets are only $5 dollars.

Friday night The Lazy Sons and The Household are scheduled to play with openers, The Hereticks. The Lazy Sons are a rock group from down under who have a knack for delivering a healthy dose of rock with a mixture of danceable beats.  Then stay tuned for a show by one of our hometown favorite’s, The Household, who have been writing music together right out of high school and who we love to call our own. Finally the weekend will wrap up on Saturday with performances by Growl, Borrisokane, Monde Green. You have 2 days left to learn all the songs so you can completely impress your date.

For those of you who frequent the historic 6th street in downtown Austin and have never stumbled upon the Beale Street Tavern  are in for a sweet surprise.  With its dim lighting and the old fashioned jukebox, the Beale Street Tavern feels like a time machine that shook you back to the era when the King of Rock n’ Roll reigned.   It is a great place to escape the regular chaos of the streets and is one of 6th street’s hidden treasures.  The best part is that it really doesn’t matter what night you stop by the Tavern this week because you’re bound to enjoy some great music.
